Mr Pravartak Pathak is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India.
He graduated from erstwhile Pune University and now Savitribai Phule Pune University, he enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He has done post-graduation in International Law and Arbitration. He started legal practice at the Bombay High Court in July 2009. Before the Bombay High Court, he dealt with matters related to Criminal Laws, Civil Laws, Corporate Laws, IPR, Service and Administrative laws, labour laws, environmental laws, constitutional laws, Private International Law and Commercial Arbitration.
Presently, Advocate Pravartak Pathak represents individuals, corporate entities, Government Agencies and local authorities before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He is the Standing Counsel for Gondwana University. He is empanelled with the Union of India and the State of Maharashtra.
Advocate Pravartak Pathak proudly argued/assisted in a number of cases that were reported in leading law journals.
Pravartak Pathak was unanimously elected to the Governing Council of the Bar Association of India in 2020 to represent the State of Maharashtra. Other than BAI, Pravartak Pathak is also working with other voluntary organisations, especially in the legal field. He is associated with several social causes, including environmental protection, and tribal rights.
Pravartak Pathak was honoured as a resource person in various National/International conferences, seminars, professional institutions and other social organisations. He worked as Module Co-coordinator for the Diploma Course on Environmental Management conducted by Somaiya College of Science, Mumbai, from 2015 to 2017. Pravartak is also a columnist and wrote several columns/articles in daily newspapers and magazines.
