Mr Pravartak Pathak is a practising Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.
As a fresh law graduate from erstwhile Pune University and now Savitribai Phule Pune University, he enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He started legal practise at the Bombay High Court in 2009. He has done post-graduation in International Law and Arbitration. Since then, he has been dealing in matters related to Criminal Laws, Civil Laws, Corporate Laws, IPR, Service and Administrative laws, labour laws, environmental laws, constitutional laws, Private International Law and Commercial Arbitration.
Presently, Advocate Pravartak Pathak represents individuals, corporate entities, Government Agencies and local authorities before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Several judgments/cases reported in law journals were argued/assisted by Advocate Pravartak Pathak before the Hon’ble Bombay High Court and Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Pravartak Pathak was unanimously elected to the Governing Council of the Bar Association of India in 2020 to represent the State of Maharashtra. Other than BAI, Pravartak Pathak is also working with other voluntary organisations, especially in the legal field.
Pravartak Pathak was honoured as a resource person in various National/International conferences, seminars, professional institutions and other social organisations. He worked as Module Co-coordinator for the Diploma Course on Environmental Management conducted by Somaiya College of Science, Mumbai, from 2015 to 2017. Pravartak is also a columnist and wrote several columns/articles in daily newspapers and magazines. He was a member secretory of the fact-finding committee in a Palghar lynching case.
Pravartak Pathak believes in the nobility of the legal profession and is aware of its importance and responsible role in Indian Society. He is associated with several causes, including environmental protection and tribal rights.
